This means a lot of discomfort, but if you are ready to pay the price, it is worthy.
The trains are old, there are lots of people, but after all in India it is not about the nice travel but for the reaching the destination, which in most of the times you could do.

This is something else which you will need to consider when you are going to India. These are places ( whole floors in the hotels and trains) which are specially for women and no men are allowed to go there.
However, if you survive all these things, you will have the chance to see the amazing temples and to know more about the unique culture of India.
One thing, however, which can make your experience a bit worse is the poverty which is all around the country. In a certain moment you even may start to feel guilty. Of course you can help some of the people, but certainly not all of them.
